Covid-19

Covid-19 has had an impact on travel around the world. We are pleased to say that as things stand, our placements are all able to commence in 2022.

Please ensure you stay alert to Government advice with regard to travel restrictions and entry requirements for the country you wish to visit.

Each individual placement brings with it their own regulations in response to Covid-19, so please allow us to share these with you upon booking to ensure you are appropriately prepared. This applies to travel regulations and terms and conditions of bookings and registration fees.

Entering the UK following Brexit

If you’re an EU, EEA or Swiss citizen

Irish citizens can continue to enter and live in the UK.

EU, EEA and Swiss citizens can travel to the UK for holidays or short trips without needing a visa. In other cases, find out if you need to apply for a visa to enter the UK.

You can cross the UK border using a valid passport which should be valid for the whole time you are in the UK. (This is usually for up to 6 months)

AU PAIRS

In line with Brexit regulations:

You can continue to hire an au pair through Belaf International if they:

  • are from the UK or Ireland

  • are from an EU country and have settled or pre-settled status under the EU Settlement Scheme, or are eligible to apply under the EU Settlement Scheme

  • have a Youth Mobility Scheme visa

If none of these apply, you need to check the au pair’s visa conditions for their right to work before hiring them.

You must not hire an au pair if they’re here on a visitor visa or visiting the UK for 6 months or less.

AIDE MAMANS

The rules apply as though entering the country to study or for tourism.
